FUEL prices and supplies have normalised in Harare, following Government’s quick intervention last week.
A snap survey conducted by The Sunday Mail last night showed that both petrol and diesel were in abundant supply.
The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe injected US$10 million for payment to international oil suppliers to avert any shortages.
Prices of petrol are now ranging between US$1.36 and US$1.37, dropping from about US$1.50 per litre which was being charged last week. Diesel is now selling at between US$1.22 and US$1.23 from around US$1.40 last week.
At Zuva Petroleum outlets, blended petrol was selling at US$1,37 per litre while diesel was pegged at US$1,22. Diesel 50 was going for US$ 1,36 per litre.
The same prices were pegged at Total, Puma and Trek service stations.
A fuel attendant at the Total Sam Nujoma Street said, “Fuel is now available and queues have disappeared.”
