AFRO-pop musician Raaz Mahlazi is set to release a new single celebrating mothers’ love and sacrifices in providing for their children.
Titled Umama KaSibongile, the song features J Tonga and is scheduled for release on 30 October 2026, alongside its official music video.
The track was produced by DJ Nyder, while Blackstone Graphics handled the visuals.
Mahlazi said the song pays tribute to mothers who leave their children behind to seek work and provide a better future for their families.
“The song is about a mother who leaves her children to look for work and build a better life for her family. The children are left with their father, wondering where their mother is and why she is no longer around.
“It reflects the pain of separation, the struggle to provide for a family and the sacrifices parents make for their children.
“At its heart, the song reminds us that a mother’s absence does not mean a lack of love. It can be a sacrifice made in the hope of giving her children a better future,” said Mahlazi.
