Racing season gathers momentum at Borrowable

of the prestigious Triple Crown and is open for the top three-year-old equine athletes.
Ten runners have accepted to go to the starting stalls in what could be a closely-contested race.

Trainer Gokhan Terzi saddles in the unbeaten Fashion Police (5) with jockey Corne Orffer and should be given due respect by this field after the partnership won the MOTA ride of the day at the last ascot.

On his maiden run, the bare gelding beat Marumbala by a nose over 1000m while he beat Killa Man (8) by a quarter lens to enter the race as the only unbeaten runner in this field. Terzi also bring Newton Power (2) who put up a gusty performance in getting a place in the last race.

Another favourite is Skoentjies (10) by Lisa Harris and is coming into the race bubbling with confidence following her win in the Fillies Classic last month.

Now the chestnut filly is squaring up against the boys and retains the services of jockey Randall Simmons while, number one of the race card, Final Fling has rested for 71 days and is the highest rated horse in the race.

Approval Rating (3) registered a good win over the shorter 1 100m as he beat Gossamer by half a lens and could also be competitive over the longer distance.

The Miesque Approval off-spring is Nuno Nur’s single entry while Kirk Swanson’s Mighty Sha has shown good form by getting a place in the last run and grey gelding could be another one to watch although he has previously lost to Fashion Police over the same distance early this month.

King Kahal, who was difficult to load in the stall, causing a slight delay the Race Five on February 10, has once also challenged for the Triple Crown.

The opening race tomorrow will be the Parkade Tote Maiden Juvenile Plate 1000m with eight runners while a large field of 15 horses will run the closing Graduation Plate.
