Railstars extend darts league lead

BULAWAYO Metropolitan Darts League side Railstars overcame archrivals Archers 22-17 on Wednesday night to shoot to the top of the log. Railstars captain Patrick Zimidzi was delighted by his team’s performance in the league that has extended their unbeaten run to 11 games. Zimidzi, who was man of the match against Archers, said it was a tough encounter and they had to dig deep to win.

“I managed to win all my six singles matches. The match was always going to be a tough encounter and although we struggled in some areas, we quickly rectified our flaws to prevail,” said Zimidzi.

He said they were now preparing for the return match, which would be the first encounter of the second half of the season.

Results: Railstars 22-17 Archers, Bellevue 11-28 Parkview Lions, Maison Nic 20-19 Khami, Bosso 28-11 Queens, ZRP Bulawayo 23-16 Parkview Kanka, Fair Bridge 18-21 Zimbabwe School of Mines.
