THE 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season is beginning to light up with goals, drama and emerging stars.
The clubs have combined for an impressive 215 goals by the end of Week 13.
Leading the race for the coveted Golden Boot award is Herentals captain Ralph Kawondera, with eight goals.
The utility man, who is sometimes used in central defence, has been in devastating form.
Not on his heels are three players tied on six goals each, former Warriors midfield star Khama Billiat, Dynamos hitman Jairos Kasondo and Hardrock frontman Washington Navaya.
Billiat won the championship with Scottland last season and he has been their best forward, in terms of goals, so far this campaign.
Kasondo has become Dynamos’ reliable source of goals while Navaya continues to shine after winning the Soccer Star of the Year award last year.
Dynamos have also benefited from the contributions of Ghanaian attacker Frank Agyemang, who has scored four goals.
Other players on four goals include Marvelous Mukumba of Ngezi Platinum Stars, Harrison Masina and Scottland skipper Walter Musona.
Hardrock’s attacking depth has become one of the stories of the season, with Wilfred Madzungu, Tinashe Mashaireni and Sambulo Semelane all weighing in with three goals apiece.
CAPS United have also spread their goals across the squad with Allen Mukombedzi, Ishmael Wadi and Takunda Benhura all finding the net three times.
Bulawayo Chiefs’ attacking duo of Melikhaya Ncube and Godswill Gwara have also impressed with three goals each as Amakhosi Amahle continue pushing for consistency.
Defending champions Simba Bhora have shared goals across the squad, with Webster Tafa joining Harrison Masina among the club’s leading scorers, while Highlanders continue to rely on the contributions of Mongameli Tshuma, Isaac Ngoma and Reason Sibanda.
