ZIMDANCEHALL stalwarts Seh Calaz and Ras Caleb have defended their music genre, saying people are pulling them down on social media.

In a Facebook post, Ras Caleb said they are not going to entertain what people say.

“In light of all the negativity that they have been trying to pin on us and all the criticism, I would like to encourage other artists to work hard. Let’s go back to the studio and make more music because that is our dream.

Ngatiimbei kusvika vazvimba as God already blessed us with studios and greatness was inbuilt from birth,” posted the Tokwe Mukosi hit-maker.

In an almost similar post, musician, Seh Calaz, said they are not going to entertain negative energy.

“You cannot uplift youths by bringing them down, no.

“Why is it everyone these days has something bad to say about Zimdancehall?

“There is too much negativity and people are just loaded with negativity and bitterness.

“Why are people showing up now telling us about the collapse of the genre when you have not helped where necessary?” he posted.

Zim Hip hop artist, Holy Ten, fired shots at Zimdancehall musicians, saying the genre is dead as hip-hop has taken over.
