RASHID KHAN’S SIX WICKETS LEAVE ZIM IN TROUBLE

RASHID Khan took six wickets and left Afghanistan needing two wickets on the final day of the second Test against Zimbabwe at Queens Sports Club today.

Zimbabwe, who are eight wickets down, are chasing 73 runs for victory after closing on 205/8..

Bad light brought play to a premature end yesterday with Richard Ngarava getting treatment on the field.

There was plenty of drama and plenty of action in the last hour.

Craig Ervine, who was on 53 not out, will be around for the final day and Ngarava showed stomach for a fight.

But it was all about Rashid Khan in that last hour, has been a champion bowler across leagues and he didn’t let his team down once again.

He struck a vital blow by removing Sikandar Raza, but it was the double blow of Sean Williams and Brian Bennett that dented the hosts badly.
