THE Chevrons have named their 15-man party for the Pakistan Tri-Series and there is one big change from the squad that did duty against Afghanistan.
Speed gun Blessing Muzarabani is out. A back injury has ruled him sidelined just weeks before the team jets out. Sliding into his place is new pace pick Newman Nyamhuri, who gets his chance to shine on the international stage.
Led by captain Sikandar Raza, Zimbabwe will face hosts Pakistan first in Rawalpindi ON 17 November, before squaring up against Sri Lanka at the same venue two days later.
The team will then shift base to Lahore for the return legs, clashing with Pakistan again ON 23 November and Sri Lanka ON 25 November. The top two sides from the round robin will meet under the Lahore lights on 29 November for the final.
The tour forms part of Zimbabwe’s preparations ahead of next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
