adminLONDON. — The record for the highest number of managerial causalities in one season is under threat, after a report has revealed just how trigger happy English football has been so far this term.
The League Managers Association produced their Mid-Season Manager Statistics report on Monday and shows that English football is on course to surpass the record of 53 dismissals in the 2001-02 season.
The report shows that 34 managers have either been sacked or resigned between June 1 and December 31 last year, up from 27 at the same time as last year.
Of these 34, 29 were sacked and the other five left of their own accord. — AFP.
