All is set for the premiere of “Deception” at Ster-Kinekor Theatres, Eastgate, this weekend with a star-studded guest list on the red carpet event. The Christian movie stars Prophet Passion, Charles Mzemba, Rairo Gunguwo, Dzidzai Sithole, Hilda Mabu, Mudiwa Mtandwa, Donald Mapungu and Emily Kachote among other actors.

It was produced and directed by Adoration Bizure, who also happens to be the main actor.

In an interview with The Herald Entertainment, Bizure said the event is a red carpet affair and everyone should dress for the occassion.

Bizure said the event is running under the theme ‘‘Glitz and Glamour Deception’’.

“I am happy that the day is finally coming. Growing up I had passion for acting it is just that sometimes you wouldn’t know how to start it. The premiere is strictly a red carpet event with everyone expected to dress glamorous. We have set up the event, the Hollywood style where fans get to have a chance posing on banners and having autographs from some of the cast,” he said.

He said the event will be covered live by Club E Entertainment.

“Itai Mutinhiri from Star FM is doing the red carpet interviews while a team from Club E will be doing their usual drill. Songstress Marbel Madondo will be the host for the night. The cast will be dressed by top designers,” he said.

He said the red carpet will last for an hour from 6pm with the movie being screened beginning at 7pm.

Bizure added that there will be a line-up of performances from those who did the soundtrack.

“We have renowned producer and musician Mac Dee who did the soundtrack of the movie and fans will get to sample the song on the night. Award-winning rapper Schingy is also billed to perform together with Magic Boy,” he said.

The director said the guest of honour is Deputy Minister of the of Sport, Arts and Culture, Tabetha Kanengoni-Malinga

The event will also be graced by musicians such as Mathias Mhere, Evelyn Mhaga, Sabastian Magacha, part of ZimPraise team and Lytton Ngolomi, together with pastors, bishops and prophets from different ministries.

“Deception” is a striking tale of a charming pastor whose rural background saw him getting a life-changing opportunity, but not without facing life-changing obstacles along the way. Rejection, fame, temptations, betrayal and love scandals found their way into Pastor Denver’s life.
