Redcliff proposes US$25m budget for 2025

Midlands Bureau

Redcliff Municipality has proposed a US$25million budget for 2025, which is a decrease from this year’s US$30million.

Mayor Vincent Shangwa Masiiwa said the budget seeks to prioritise the serious water challenges being faced in the dormitory town.

“Our total budget for the year 2025 is US$25 337 144.96. Water supply remains a key challenge in Redcliff, therefore more emphasis has been directed towards water projects. We will look at addressing water challenges in Torwood water and sewer connections, as well as roads.

“The following schemes were budgeted for in the 2025 budget and will be funded by our own revenue, that is maintenance of Millennium Park and Engelbrecht Road, water and sewer reticulation, Simbi Park roads, drainage and sewer.

“These projects will improve the quality of life for residents and attract new businesses to Redcliff,” said Mr Masiiwa.
