SWAZILAND failed to overpower a well-built Namibian side which beat them 21-46 in an AUSC Region 5 Under-20 Youth Games netball match played before a noisy crowd at White City stadium on Monday morning.

Namibia won the hearts of many with their shrewd passes that left spectators crying for more. Swaziland had come to the match as a wounded lion and during the first few minutes they looked bloodthirsty after succumbing to Zimbabwe 15-57 in an opening match plate at the home of netball on Saturday.

They sensed blood and went into the lead but Namibia who looked uneasy at first rallied back to win the match

Namibian head coach Michelle Brooks was thrilled about the win.

“I am happy about the win though I believe the girls were capable of scoring more goals,” she said.
