Reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua is expected in Zimbabwe from Monday next week.
Miss Universe Zimbabwe National Director, Tendai Hunda confirmed the development.
Tendai said Miss Universe Zimbabwe will partner with the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry to bring the Miss Universe 2023 winner.
“She will arrive on Monday and she is expected to be in the country for six days.
“She will be on a tour of the country and visit Victoria Falls,” she said.
Sheynnis Palacios is a 23-year-old mental health activist and audiovisual producer from Managua,Nicaragua.
Sheynnis is the first Nicaraguan woman to win Miss Universe.
She was once crowned Miss Teen Nicaragua 2016; Miss Mundo Nicaragua 2020; Miss Nicaragua 2023; and Miss Universe 2023.
Meanwhile, Bulawayo-based beauty queen, Sakhile Dube was crowned the 2024 Miss Universe Zimbabwe in May this year.
She will represent Zimbabwe in Mexico for Miss Universe 2024.
Sakhile is a decorated model who holds the prestigious titles of 2020 Zimbabwe Miss Tourism winner, recipient of the Most Promising Award at the Zimbabwe Models Awards in 2018, as well the title of Miss Inyathi in Bulawayo in 2015 and Miss Supranational Africa 2023.
