‘Report responsibly on agriculture’

Seed Co managing director Mr Denias Zaranyika has urged the media to report responsibly on agriculture to buttress the sector’s contribution to food security and the economy at large.
He was speaking at a media luncheon held at the company’s plant in Stappleford just outside the capital.
Mr Zaranyika said the media had a responsibility to promote agricultural production.

“Since agriculture and mining are the two drivers of the economy, you should report responsibly to promote the resuscitation of the sector,” he said.

“We should be united and have the same cause. Let us learn from the Chinese who are united. When united we will promote the production of maize to boost food security.”
