Water pipe replacement works along Coronation Avenue in Greendale are continuing as the City of Harare, in partnership with Helcraw Water, upgrades water supply infrastructure in the suburb.
The project, which commenced on Monday this week, is expected to run until August 15, 2026.
In a notice, City of Harare spokesperson Mr Stanley Gama urged residents and business owners to cooperate with the project by removing illegal structures and any obstructions along the pipeline route.
“The City of Harare, in collaboration with Helcraw Water, advises Greendale residents that water pipe replacement works are ongoing along Coronation Avenue from July 13, 2026 to August 15, 2026 as part of efforts to improve water supply infrastructure in the area.
“Residents and business owners are requested to remove illegal structures and obstructions along the pipeline route to allow the works to proceed smoothly,” reads the notice.
The project forms part of the city’s ongoing programme to rehabilitate ageing water infrastructure and improve the reliability of water supply to residents.
