Rhinos go top

Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera’s men scored through Brighton Chandisaita, from a penalty, and Lazarus Muhoni with Harare City replied via Godfrey Nguwodzawo’s effort.

The defeat-ended Harare City’s unbeaten run and brought Rhinos level on points with La Liga at the top of the table.
The two teams have 13 points each but La Liga have a better goal difference.

Meanwhile former Premiership sides Douglas Warriors and Lengthens have all but collapsed.
Zifa Northern Region secretary Sweeney Mushonga said the two former Premiership outfits did not submit their papers by close of registration and they are out of the league.

“The clubs failed to pay the US$1500 for the affiliation and they did not communicate with us. As Northern Region we proceeded with the teams that have registered so it’s now a closed chapter,” said Mushonga.
