Richard Rugube remembered

ST Georges and the Wildlife Trust on Monday planted trees in commemoration of deceased pupil Richard Mutemererwa, who was electrocuted three years ago. The occasion also saw the official launch of the Richard Kevin Rugube and Marjorie Fadziso Mutemererewa Trust Fund (RKR&MFM) in memory of Richard.

RKR&MFM Trust deputy chairperson Ms Marjorie Mutemererwa, Richard’s mother, said her son was a young man who had vision and passion for nature, wildlife preservation and the environment.

Richard’s classmate Luke Wilson said he got inspiration from the deceased.
“It is a huge loss to us as friends and mostly the Wildlife Club. Richard’s loss had an impact on me as a friend and to the school.
“He loved the environment,” he said.

Richard, an active member of the St George’s Wildlife Club, was electrocuted three years ago while bathing at home.
