THE countdown is over!

International heavyweights Rick Ross and Omah Lau are expected to land in Harare on Friday, setting the stage for the Hustle and Heritage event the following day.

Social media erupted the moment news of their arrival broke.

“Their arrival is massive for Zimbabwe,” said Dru Edmund Kucherera, the man behind the show.

“Rick Ross and Omah Lay are not just performers; they are energy, spectacle, and connection.

“Having them back is proof that Zimbabwe’s entertainment scene is on the map.”

Preparations for the event have been intense.

Stages are set, lights are being calibrated, sound systems are being tested and security is being tightened. Organisers have worked tirelessly to ensure every detail is perfect, from vendor coordination to media coverage.

“We’ve been planning this for weeks,” Kucherera said.

“Every element is about giving fans an unforgettable experience. From the moment they walk in, they should feel the vibe, the music, and the culture.”

The line-up blends global and local talent, creating a show that celebrates Zimbabwe’s music while giving fans a taste of international flair.

Local hip-hop, Afrobeat, and R&B stars are set to open the night, paving the way for Rick Ross and Omah Lay to deliver headline performances.

Both artists have visited Zimbabwe before, leaving fans raving, and this return promises even bigger energy.

“Rick Ross and Omah Lay know our audience,” Kucherera said.

“That connection makes this event different. Fans don’t just come to watch they come to be part of something bigger.”

Excitement among locals is palpable.

Many are travelling from outside Harare, while social media feeds are full of fan predictions, shout-outs, and countdowns.

“It’s going to be electric,” said Tinashe Chibanda, a local music fan.

“Seeing Rick Ross and Omah Lay back here is a dream come true.”

The stars arrived a day early to acclimatise, rehearse, and engage with fans and media.

Kucherera said this extra time ensures performances are flawless.

“We’re also highlighting local talent,” he added.

“This isn’t just an international show. Our Zimbabwean artists are a huge part of the story.

“Hustle and Heritage is about showcasing our music scene alongside global stars.”

Behind the scenes, Kucherera has been deeply involved in logistics, stage setup, and artist management. “It’s been hectic, but seeing the plans come together is worth every late night,” he said. “When the crowd arrives and the energy hits, you realise why we do this.”

As the weekend approaches, anticipation is at fever pitch. Conversations on social media and across the city revolve around Rick Ross’s rap anthems, Omah Lay’s Afrobeat hits, and local acts ready to steal the spotlight.

“This is a moment for Zimbabwe,” Kucherera said. “We’re showing the world that we can host international talent while celebrating our own. Hustle and Heritage isn’t just a concert it’s pride, culture, and celebration all rolled into one.
