Ricky Fire dreams big

CHITUNGWIZA-BORN and bred dancehall chanter Ricky Fire, real name Thulani Takavada says he spends most of his time producing music as he wants to be a force to reckon with in the industry. The Ndiratidze Zvaunoita hit-maker has been chanting since 2002 but rose to fame last year. “I eat, drink, sleep and dream music as it’s my obsession. I want to be the best in Zimbabwe and believe this is my time,” said Ricky Fire.

With six albums under his belt, the musician who launched his sixth album — There is no Danger, last year plans to expand his fan base by staging a series of shows across the country.

His solo show in Bulawayo has been scheduled for August 1 at Club Forty40.

He will share the stage with Bulawayo-based Zim dancehall artistes Centre Party, DJs Mzoe, Theo, Lexx, Teflon and Binolla.
