YOLANDA Chimusoro, a rising star in the modelling industry who won the Milestone Miss Global Zimbabwe Queen competition, is set to represent Zimbabwe in the world finals in Dubai.

The 23-year-old from Bulawayo beat 11 other contestants to claim the coveted title.

The competition saw models from across the country compete in various categories.

Chimusoro’s victory marks a significant milestone in her career.

She is now preparing to represent Zimbabwe at the prestigious World Finals of the Miss Global pageant, set to be held in Dubai in September.

In an interview with H-Metro, Chimusoro said:

“I am now preparing for the world pageant in Dubai where I will be representing Zimbabwe and I am going to make my country proud.

“It was overwhelming to participate in this competition, from day one I was under pressure with the intensive preparations.

“Organising training and managing my wardrobe, while also working on a project, was no easy task but all this gave me a strong sense of empowerment,” she said.

She said her win has reinforced her belief in the strength and capabilities of women.

“Achieving all this by myself has given me a strong sense of power and recognition that as women we are powerful, capable and intelligent,” she said. (@H-Metro)
