adminSinger Rita Ora has split from DJ Calvin Harris after a whirlwind nine-month relationship.
The 23-year-old seemed to confirm the break-up when she unfollowed Calvin on Instagram just two weeks after they saw in the New Year together.
On Wednesday she alluded to her anguish in a post, which read: “Have you ever wondered which hurts the most: Saying something & not wishing you had not, or saying nothing and wishing you had?”
A source told The Sun: “It’s been tough for both of them but it’s been even harder for them to spend time together recently.
“He’s been busy DJing and she’s working on her new album and shooting Fifty Shades of Grey.
“Calvin is more private when it comes to fame than Rita, which also played a part. He’d be happy to meet someone who has nothing to do with the industry.”
When the couple initially began dating nine months ago they were photographed regularly both in the US – as Calvin has a residency in Las Vegas and also in London.
Around the time Rita gushed about their relationship, saying: “It’s great. It’s going well – I’m happy. When something is worth having, you make time for it. When you want something, you make it work.”
However in the lead up to Christmas their sightings became more sporadic, although they did see in the New Year together.
Reports soon followed that Rita was planning on making the move to the US to be with the Scottish star full-time and she added fuel to the fire by tweeting about clearing out her wardrobe.
But just weeks later according to The Sun, following a big row they apparently decided they would be unable to make it work.
On Wednesday Rita was seen flying out to Vancouver where she will begin filming her new role as Mia, Christian Grey’s sister in the forthcoming film adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey.
A spokesperson for both Rita and Calvin have been contacted for comment. – The Sun..
