THE Government has started the construction and rehabilitation of roads in Harare’s suburbs, with work underway in Glen View where new surfaces are being laid out.

This is part of the Government’s pledge to rehabilitate and construct roads in major cities and towns to address years of neglect by local authorities.

City roads fall under the purview of local authorities, but for the past 20 years, the predominantly opposition-led councils have neglected them.

In the latest intervention, the Government is working with the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (Zinara).
