POTHOLE patching works are underway along Prince Edward Road in Kensington, Harare, as part of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development’s road rehabilitation programme.

In an interview, Instant Tar Zimbabwe representative Mr Benny Mazire, who are carrying out the repairs, said the firm had been contracted by the ministry to carry out road maintenance projects in several parts of the country.

“Right now, we are patching potholes on Prince Edward Road. We have so far completed a project in Norton,” he said.

“We have also done roads in Borrowdale and are working on another road in Bulawayo.”

He said they were also going to undertake road works in Bulawayo, and Maphisa.

The road maintenance programme forms part of ongoing efforts by the Government to improve the country’s road network and enhance safety for motorists and pedestrians.
