Rockford “Roki” Josphat has praised Prophet Passion Java for sponsoring his clothing labels.
He said he was inspired by Java to dress in expensive labels like Gucci.
Roki opened up after his recent show held at CSC Social Club where he left revellers asking for more.
“There are a lot of people involved in my career, including Passion Java, who dresses me.
“Prophet Java has been dressing me with all these labels that you see me donning.
“I am grateful that I have someone sponsoring me,” he said.
He dismissed claims that he is a spent force and vowed not to compete with rookies.
“I can’t compete with today’s young generation by releasing music regularly.
“I have matured as a musician and must take my time to produce quality, not half-baked music.
“It is my school of thought that artists must concentrate on producing quality music that can withstand the test of time,” he said.
Roki said he will not be deterred by haters who want to see him failing in life.
“I have new songs that are coming. I did collaborations with DJ Maphorisa and Master KG, but I am not divulging much about the collaboration,” he said.
The urban grooves star said he has seen quite a lot in his musical journey.
He, however, felt he has been portrayed as a bad person in some sections of the media.
“It is your duty as the media to inform me about what is being said about me on the internet.
“I live a very private life with my family,” said Roki.
