MIAMI. — Wayne Rooney says Louis Van Gaal has made him and his Manchester United players look at football differently. United made it five wins out of five under new boss Van Gaal by lifting the Guinness International Champions Cup here with a 3-1 win over bitter rivals Liverpool in a thrilling game in front of 51 000 fans in the Sun Life Stadium that was a great advert for the English Premier League.

United have scored 16 goals and conceded only four — three of them penalties — and Rooney says Van Gaal’s decision to play a 3-4-1-2 system is perfect for the players he has inherited at Old Trafford. — The Daily Express.
