ZIMBABWE Republic Police’ Ross Camp netball courts will be a hive of activity tomorrow afternoon when four male netball teams battle for supremacy in what is expected to be a spectacle for the watching public.
The matches, usually a domain of the women, will have Black Panthers and Goldreef from Bulawayo, Raven Kings from Gweru and Karoi United all the way from Mashonaland West province.
In June this year a six member Zimbabwe Male Netball Association headed by Ramssey Kasawaya and Daniel Arthur Dauyawa as his deputy was formed.
Other members of the committee are Simplicio Rolihlahla Moyo who is the secretary general and deputized by Emmanuel Kazomba while Billy Mabvadya will take care of the association’s finances with the fixtures secretary post going to Sanele Ndlovu.
“It’s for the first time in Zimbabwe, we want to promote and develop men’s netball in Zimbabwe. We want it to be recognized even in schools. At the moment we have eight clubs nationally,” Moyo was quoted saying upon formation of the association.
