The championships, which will feature both men and women, have been slated for April 7-8 at Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club in Sydney.
Garden finished fourth at last years’ event.
He believes that he will do well and probably reach the top this year.
“ I am very happy to represent the country and I believe I will reach to the top this time around, I will be leaving on April 2 for the championships,” said Garden.
Garden, who is based in Bulawayo, is expected to come to the capital and defend his title in the Nationals tournament which he will use in preparation for the Championships. He will be playing for Highlands Sports Club.
The Nationals will be played during the Easter weekend and are likely to be competitive as they have attracted most of the country’s top bowlers.

Garden last took part at the singles competition in 2006 were he won 11 and lost one match to Scotland champion Darr Durnett.
