THE Harare Province Rugby Board will host their inaugural awards ceremony to honour outstanding teams, players and coaches in the just-ended season at Belgravia Sports Club this evening.
The board held several tournaments, including the League, a Challenge Cup and the Exide’s Sevens Series tournament.
Several outstanding clubs, and individuals, were short-listed with Old Georgians dominating in the male category.
Police Defenders ruled the roost in the women’s category.
The award for the Team of the Year is likely to generate a lot of interest.
Old Georgians (the reigning women’s League Champions), Old Hararians (the Harare Challenge Cup Champions) and Pitbull (the current undefeated U-21 Champions) are all in contention for the big prize.
There is also a slot for journalists as there are nominees for the Reporter of the Year.
