She’s bold, fearless, and ready to take the world by storm.

The 29-year-old real estate consultant, lanky model, Rumbidzai “Rumbi” Muzopa, from Honde Valley, jets off to Egypt today to represent Zimbabwe at the Miss Intercontinental 2025 pageant and insiders are already saying she’s not here to blend in.

With poise, beauty, and brains, Rumbi carries the weight of a nation’s hopes, her sights set firmly on the crown.

This is not Rumbi’s first international stage. She previously represented Zimbabwe at the Top Model of the World finals in Egypt in 2018, and the experience only fuelled her ambition.

“It is my second international pageant. Going back to Egypt again you know what they say about second time being a charm. This time we are going to make it,” she says confidently, a twinkle in her eye that hints she’s ready to shock the judges.

The road to Egypt has been gruelling.

For the past seven months, Rumbi has been under the watchful guidance of Crown Hunter Ishmael Murangandi, known for turning hopefuls into queens who dominate on stage.

Her training has been relentless from perfecting her runway walk to sharpening her public speaking skills and mental resilience.

“This journey has been intense, inspiring, and transformative,” she admits. Every detail has been meticulously honed to ensure she makes an unforgettable impact.

Fashion is Rumbi’s secret weapon. Her wardrobe is more than glamorous; it’s storytelling. Inspired by Zimbabwe’s national colours, each outfit reflects the history, culture, and pride of her people.

“Above all, the world needs more love, and I can’t wait to show the kindness and rich culture of our people,” she explains.

She will wear creations from designers such as Monkey Rain Atelier, Velori Vita by Catherine Wonder, Les Scentury Luxury, Push Athletics, Kimstyles Luxury, ViGlamz, and Jewel, ensuring she stands out in a sea of over 80 contestants.

Rumbi draws inspiration from global icons who broke barriers, particularly Naomi Campbell.

“Firstly, Black representation since the 90s, her work ethic she’s a legend,” she says. Her ambition is not just about beauty but leaving a legacy.

Beyond the stage, Rumbi is a powerhouse in her own right. She is a real estate consultant, navigating a competitive industry with confidence, and the manager of the JBC Men’s Basketball Team, proving she can balance leadership, strategy, and passion alongside a modelling career. Her work off the runway mirrors her approach to pageantry: focused, professional, and relentless.

Looking ahead, Rumbi hints at bigger ambitions. “It’s a surprise maybe I will pursue another Big Five pageant in the world. Most likely Miss Supranational or Miss Grand,” she teases, keeping fans guessing.

She is set to follow in footsteps of Lyshanda Moyasa, Brooke Bruk Shields and Yollanda Chimbarami among others.
