RUSAPE PASTOR ATTACK. . . police investigate savage beating of naked man of cloth

POLICE have launched investigations into the severe assault of a Rusape pastor for allegedly cheating with his best friend’s wife.

The pastor, only identified as Mutsipa, was beaten by one Baba Joy, and his brothers, on accusations he was sleeping with his wife.

In a circulating video, Mutsipa was stripped naked and his hands tied to the back before being thrashed.

The defenceless Mutsipa sustained a swollen face in the attack.

In a statement, police confirmed they were investigating the assault, whose video has gone viral on social media platforms.

They said it was a criminal offence to mete instant justice on a suspect.

“Mutsipa had allegedly been caught with his best friend’s wife.

“The ZRP urges the public not to take the law into their hands if wronged by another person, but to report to the police and follow the due process of the law to get redress,” read a police statement.

Allegations are that Mutsipa was seeing Mai Joy, behind his friend’s back, before he was exposed.
