Ruvimbo Funeral Assurance firm receives award

Ruvimbo Funeral Assurance Company was conferred with the Funeral Services Company of the Year award  at the prestigious Zimbabwe Business Awards held last week. Ruvimbo CEO Dr Edward Gombo was thankful for the award saying that it showed the confidence that people had in the company’s service delivery. Dr Gomba is also the president of the Zimbabwe Association of Funeral Assurers. The funeral services industry is one of the few insurance sectors that has been experiencing growth despite stiff competition due to low entry level requirements.

The Insurance and Pensions Commission of Zimbabwe has in the past said that  funeral players are encouraged to continue building on this growth momentum by way of product innovation and embracing new concepts particularly micro-insurance whose framework is under preparation.
