Ruziwa new CZI president

THE Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI) Midlands Chapter has elected Matthias Ruziwa of Steelmakers Zimbabwe as its new president.

Ruziwa is deputised by two vice presidents, Sithokozile Rugube who is the finance director of Oliken Holdings and Allan Manhanga, the operations manager of Sable Chemicals.

“The immediate past president Ben Mashangu and CZI Midlands Chamber executive would like to congratulate Matthias Ruziwa — Steelmakers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Limited`s human resources executive who has been elected as the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries` Midlands Chamber president,” said CZI in a statement.

Ruziwa is an executive member of the Engineering, Iron and Steel Association of Zimbabwe in the western region and sits on the Advisory Council of Msasa Industrial Training College (MITC).

He holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration Degree from the Midlands State University (MSU) and possesses several qualifications in human resource management with over 15 years experience in handling labour matters.

Rugube holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting.

CZI is the apex organisation for industry in Zimbabwe having been in existence since 1923. It is an independent, self-financed, legally constituted organisation that represents and serves interests of members in a wide array of matters affecting industrial viability and competitiveness.
