In an interview with H-Metro, Muroti could not hide his joy after he successfully recorded the two albums at VOT Studios in Harare.
“It’s always a good feeling to be back home to launch my music for the people,” said Muroti, who doubles as a musical promoter in South Africa.
“I have been recording these songs for the greater part of the year but I was only waiting for the right time to release them.
“I’m convinced that I made the right decision by releasing them now just in time before Christmas,” he said.
Muroti, who boasts of over 50 unreleased songs, added:
“I feel blessed and relieved each time I go into the studio because I know very well that something worth mentioning will come out.
“I’m also one artist who doesn’t sit down and write songs but they just come naturally and that could be the reason why I have many songs ready for release.”
Asked why he decided to unveil his double CD on home soil, Muroti was blunt:
“Home is always the best place to showcase your talent even though I have established myself in South Africa as a music promoter and musician.
“I just love my roots and people.
“I thoroughly enjoy the vibe when I collaborate with Zimbabwean artists.
“My management, led by Boss Munya, also convinced me to launch these projects on home soil after they carefully considered the support I need from my own people.
“As an artist based in a foreign land, there is a need for me to establish myself on home soil as well as convincing them before I spread my wings.”
The singer said he was pleased by the support he was receiving from the business community.
“Kadoma is my home and I was also impressed when some members of the business community like Cossy Rules, Spencer Chuma and of course, Honourable Gideon Dhliwayo convinced me to come home and launch these projects.
“I have never felt this love before, after the guest Fanuel Musakanda advised me that he was certainly coming to grace my event.
“Representatives from Stripes Fuels, Stripes Earth Movers and Jy’s Luck Mines & Milling will also grace the event.”
