SOUTH Africa coach Simon Ngomane has warned his charges on the need to retain their tactical discipline if they are to overcome the Algerian challenge and go beyond the African Nations Championships quarter-final stage.
The South Africans take on Algeria in the first of the quarter-final matches at Khartoum stadium tomorrow afternoon.
Their match will precede the clash between Sudan and Niger at Al Hilal stadium scheduled for 7pm.
South Africa are in buoyant mood after finishing their group matches against Ghana, Niger and Zimbabwe unbeaten.
Their comeback 2-1 win over the Warriors in their final game at the Al Hilal stadium last Sunday really thrilled the South Africans and boosted their confidence ahead of the quarter-final showdown with Algeria.
It also ensured that they retained top spot in Group B and avoided an early clash against hosts Sudan who topped Group A after also completing their group assignments unbeaten. But Ngomane, whose team together with Angola who qualified from Group D, are the remaining Southern African representatives in the tournament, reckoned that the competition would now get tougher in the knock-out stages.
