Saba, Bethany grace Mhere’s birthday party

“This moment really comes once every year so I want to thank God for the gift of life he gave us. I have been growing steadily, but I am now grown up in every aspect.
“I want to thank all those who contributed to the success of the celebrations especially my colleagues Saba and Bethany,” said Mhere.

Saba, as Magacha is affectionately known in music circles, took to the stage with his anthem “Bhosvo” which sent multitudes of people into frenzy. The pint-sized musician proved his mettle and showed why he is among the best gospel musicians in Zimbabwe.

He sampled some of his new songs from his forth- coming album, much to the delight of his fans.
“Can somebody tell me if the next song is better than my previous hit tracks? . . . Aka kambo hatirege kuimbira nekushumira Jesu . . .” he screamed.

Songbird Bethany also did not disappoint when she took to the stage. Her song “Ndinzvereyi Jesu” was a thriller. She hailed Mhere for taking gospel music to greater heights.
“I am so happy for my brother, friend and church mate, we are proud of you brother (Mhere). We wish you all the best in all your endeavours. AFM Church has always been churning out some of the best gospel musicians,” said Bethany.

Mhere turned 25 last Thursday and the party was organised by his Waterfalls church mates. Saba and Bethany contributed immensely to the success of the party.
It seems there is no end in accolades coming the musician’s way as he was recently appointed ambassador by the Zimbabwe Amalgamated Housing Association.
