Zim in strong position for grand prize

With two equally strong housemates, Hakeem Mandaza and Pokello Nare, it appears Zimbabwe is set for the big one. Only two weeks ago Hakeem was put up for eviction and he survived by a wide margin and at the weekend Pokello pipped the other four housemates to guarantee her stay in the house.

She garnered eight country votes including the swing vote from the Rest of Africa — what an impressive show for Pokello.
In our previous articles we indicated that Zimbabweans had two great housemates and we urged fans not to be divided between Team Hakeem and Team Pokello. We suggested that Team Zimbabwe was a winning formula. Judging by the results, it is clear Pokello is not a weak contender as most people thought.

She is, in fact, a strong character not just  in the house but from the outside. Africa loves Pokello and so are Zimbabweans never mind her sex tape and so-called “aloofness”.
We also hinted that the fact that Pokello had the guts to shoot an amateur sex tape with her lover Desmond “Stunner” Chideme makes her Big Brother material.

What surprises ardent followers of the show is that Nigeria for the first time voted for a Zimbabwean and what a rarity it was.
We have entered the third week and round about this time those who watch the show closely will tell you that already there are five housemates who are in the running for the money.

In that top five at this juncture we can safely say both Pokello and Hakeem are the two housemates and regards to the other three it still to be decided.
Hakeem garnered six country votes and now it’s Pokello with eight wow, what more could you ask for.

Here is how Africa voted this week (16 June 2013) — We say goodbye to Biguesas (Angola) and Neyll (Angola).
