Chairperson of the Troika, Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete, said the organ would discuss the constitution-making process as well as Madagascar when it convenes on October 7 2012 for a two-day meeting.
President Kikwete was speaking in Dar es Salaam at the end of a round of meetings about the situation in the DRC yesterday.
“We wish to see free and fair elections in Zimbabwe while we look forward to seeing a democratic government re-constructed in Madagascar,” he said.
Zimbabwe’s constitution-making process has been referred to the Principals of the Global Political Agreement, who are now seized with amendments made by Zanu-PF.
The amendments were made after Zanu-PF felt that Copac had deviated from the people’s views when it collated the data.
The MDC formations have, however, endorsed the Copac draft with the MDC-T leader, Mr Morgan Tsvangirai, announcing that they would soon launch a “Yes” campaign for the draft.
The Troika’s meeting comes as GPA negotiators have agreed to include a Sadc technical team to complement the facilitation team in ensuring full implementation of the GPA by the Joint Monitoring and Implementation Committee.

The Sadc technical team is expected to be introduced to Jomic by the facilitation team soon. The technical team would now be introduced to Jomic members after an earlier attempt to do so failed because party representatives were occupied.
The team includes Ambassador David Katye from Tanzania and Mrs Colly Muunyu, a diplomat from Zambia.
The decision to have a Sadc technical team came after a feeling that the inclusive Government was slow in implementing agreements.
The resolution was made at the Sadc Troika meeting held in Livingstone, Zambia, last year.
Initially, the Sadc technical team was to comprise three members but South Africa opted not to appoint one, saying they had a three-member facilitation team already active in Zimbabwe.
At the Sadc Summit held last month in Maputo, Mozambique, the parties in the inclusive Government were encouraged to continue working together in creating a conducive environment for elections.
