Safari operators donate US$60 000 for Zanu-PF’s conference

The money was handed over to Zanu-PF Politburo member Cde Francis Nhema – who is the Environment and Natural Resources Management Minister – in Harare last week.

The operators said the donation was a show of their appreciation for Government’s empowerment policies.

Cde Nhema said the gesture was the first of its kind since Government introduced the indigenisation programme.

“I appreciate the donation and this has never happened in the industry. I don’t see this gesture as a donation but an extension of your confidence and love for the country,” he said.
