THE Premier Soccer League says the safety, security and safeguarding of players, officials and stakeholders are its priority.

This follows an incident at Ngoni Stadium where underfire Takesure Chiragwi was caught on camera slapping one of his players. This was after the Warriors assistant coach had been red-carded in their match against Dynamos on Saturday.

In a statement on Saturday evening, the League said it had taken note of the conduct of the Ngezi Platinum coach.

The match was broadcast live.

The PSL awaits match reports from referees and the club on what actually transpired.

“While the league currently awaits all the official match reports, we have requested the Club to also submit a detailed report on the incident to enable the league to establish the facts surrounding this incident.

“The League strongly condemns any form of violence and the PSL will not hesitate to take appropriate disciplinary action where necessary in line with the PSL Rules and Regulations,” said the PSL in a media statement.
