The 115lb actress certainly looked beautiful in the gown from the designer’s fall collection but failed to wow as she stood next to her co-star Marion Cotillard.
The gown, which had white Mikado shoulders looking quite regal, did show off the 34-year-old’s back to perfection with its elegant plunging back.
The tiny actress opted for David Yurman jewels and an unexciting half-up, half-down hairstyle completed the look.
Actress Zoe recently caused controversy after her weight was printed on June issue of Allure.
But she moved to defend the magazine’s cover-line, which reads: “Zoe Saldana: 115 Pounds of Grit and Heartache”.
On the Today show, promoting her new movie “Star Trek Into Darkness”, which opens tomorrow.
She said: “I don’t think it was to make an issue of my weight. I think it was to talk about that for a lightweight person, I seem to be really strong-minded.”
Another posting on a message board read: “I don’t think putting the weight on a magazine cover for a celebrity is a good idea, we have too many young girls with body images already.”
“Same Sex”
The five-foot-seven-inch actress is photographed naked for the magazine, put poses so nothing is revealed.
In the candid interview, she discusses her sexuality openly, saying she might “end up with a woman raising my children”.
When asked if she has ever been in a same-sex relationship, she instructs the writer to “just put three dots as my response”.
Commenting on the revelation to Today, she said: “I think it’s important to get out that whatever I decide to do with my sexual preference will be my prerogative and my right, and as of right now I’ve been attracted to the male species.
“I don’t know if that will continue.”
It’s her husband’s film so obviously Marion Cotillard was going to make an entrance for the première of “Blood Ties” in Cannes.
And all eyes were on the 37-year-old actress as she swept onto the red carpet in a white, yellow and black Christian Dior dress.
With her dark hair slicked into a chic French bun Marion was proudly on the arm of her co-stars Clive Owen and James Caan.
Her mullet dress showed off her legs perfectly and with its cinched in waist and pleated skirt Marion pulled off the chic look perfectly.
She is only the second person to wear a dress from the Dior Resort 2014 presentation, which only happened on Saturday, Princess Charlene of Monaco was the first.
She accessorised her look with a delicate pair of earrings from Chopard’s Green Carpet Collection.
