Mutare-based musician Brian Samaita has released an album “Rinoonekwa Nemavanga” that is making waves on the local scene. Samaita said he was happy with the album that seeks to consolidate his position as top Mutare sungura musician.
The album was recorded at Diamond Studios under the guidance of Bothwell Nyamondera. He said he had done his best in coming up with an album that keeps fans on the dancing floor.
“Manicaland is a blessed province, we have flora and fauna as well as natural resources. It is now up to us as musicians of the province to raise the flag high,” he said.
He said the support he is getting is overwhelming.
“The support from both the province and the people is overwhelming,” he said.
Samaita is on record saying he was inspired by the late Tongai Moyo.
“My inspiration came from Dhewa who was a close friend. I will continue to work hard,” he said.
He has been doing live shows and he is looking forward to work with all musicians from the province.
“Manicaland is a province that has a number of artistes and we will always work with them,” he said.
Samaita who has worked with other musicians from Manicaland said he would make sure he keeps the legacy of Dhewa through some of his love songs.
“My message is mainly on the societal things among them love and I have learnt that from Tongai Moyo who is one of the best musicians,” he said.
