VIVACIOUS former Miss Tourism Zimbabwe Samantha Tshuma, among three Bulawayo beauties, namely the sexy and alluring Nyasha Mtamangira, charismatic Patience Phiri and the glitzy Chiedza Chichehwe, have all been cast to steer an all-new exciting ZBC reality TV show, focusing on women’s issues.
The show — The Chit-Chat Show — was launched last Tuesday and will be broadcast every week on that day at 11.15pm.
Mtamangira, a renowned TV hostess, told Sunday Life that ZBC had cast the bevy of beauties to not only attract an audience but to have the cast standing as a mouthpiece for everyday women.
“It’s an all-new exciting show that not only talks about the challenges faced by women but about women’s life in general. The show is a pre-recorded set and will have some really sensitive issues which affect women of all social strata,” she said.
Mtamangira added that the show didn’t have a particular presenter as the cast would be rotated each week.
“There will be no particular presenter, as we will be rotated to give our audience a chance to interact with the cast. The show is being shot at Montrose Studios in Bulawayo and each cast member gets a chance to steer the show. For example I can be given a topic to discuss such as ‘People say I’m a gold digger’ and I will discuss that because I too as a woman have experienced it,” said Mtamangira.
The show is rated 18 and above, perhaps because of the rather controversial and sensitive content.
This is one of the first reality TV shows to emerge from the City of Kings and seeks to be a major for women.
“We also hope the audience will not judge us according to the topics on discussion, as we will be steering and discussing real life issues affecting women of all races and tribes,” she said.
