POPULAR songstress, Sandra “Sandie” Ndebele-Sibindi is set to set dance floors on fire with her single, Ingoma which comes out on Wednesday.

Sandie ditched her Afro-pop beat that has become her trademark and teamed up with producer of the moment, Oskid to produce a dance tune that is certain to see the dance maestro featuring on club disc jockeys’ lists.

Unlike the laid back Afro-pop sounds that Sandie has churned in her previous offering, Ingoma, which features Mzoe 7 and Oskid, is purely a dance track that is certain to appeal to nimble-footed, young music lovers.

Ndebele said she was inspired to hook up with Oskid after being impressed by his catalogue of work that contains hit tracks.

“If you look at the cross-section of the music that Oskid has produced it shows versatility, he has managed to work across genres bringing out hit after hit and I decided why not meet him in the studio and see what we can come up. Oskid brought out the best in me and made me do notes I thought I would never be able to do. It was great working with him. He didn’t disappoint and I think the track is going to appeal to a wider audience that loves to take to the dance floor, she said. The single would be released simultaneously with the video on Wednesday.

“We have completed working on the video and it is going to be available on the same day the song is released. It’s 2017, we have to move with the times. The song is different, my album is also going to be off tangent from what people are used to from me,” said Sandie.

It seems whatever award winning producer, Oskid, real name Prince Tapfuma, touches turns to gold with several tracks that he has produced rocking the country’s music scene.

Sandie’s discography includes her first album, Tshaya Tshaya released in 2003 which was followed by Ekhaya that featured the track Malaika in 2005 and in 2006 she released Ayoyoyo.

Her last offering was Zenzo that was issued in 2015. Oskid has worked with musicians such as Killer T on the track, Ngoma ndoimba, produced the hit album, Mdhara Vachauya by Jah Prayzah and was behind the smash track Watchu want by the Brown sisters, Ammara and Chengeto.

The Gweru-born producer was also behind Winky D’s Gafa Life: Kickstape an album which has held its own in the music industry.
