Sanneta Myrie crowned Miss Jamaica

SANNETA Myrie, a 24-year-old medical doctor, is Miss Jamaica World 2015. The dreadlocked Myrie was crowned at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St James on Saturday night. First runner-up was Royanne DeSilva and second runner-up Roshelle McKinley. Myrie, who won the Miss UWI contest in 2012, also mentors youth in Kingston’s inner-city communities and runs an after-school progamme.

She will represent Jamaica at the Miss World pageant in China in December.

Sectional prizes went to Richelle Parchment (Most Adventurous Contestant) and Krystal Tomlinson (Most Congenial and Beauty in Business).

Roshelle McKinley won for Best Figure, while Shari Jo Robinson walked away with the prize for Best Smile.

Talia Soares was awarded Best Skin Tone, and Best Legs went to Jovi Jaja. – Jamaican Observer.
