Blessing Shumba proved to be the biggest victim of piracy when fans from this remote party of the country asked him to perform some of Mathius Mhere’s songs.
Not many people in this area knew that Shumba and Mhere were two musicians whose music sounds the same.
“Favour and Vimba naJehovah are not my songs, so I can not perform them,” said Shumba after fans asked him to perform Mhere’s songs.
The incident did not dampen Shumba’s spirit as he put up a good performance.
It was, however, Fungisai who stole the limelight with a polished act that left many asking for more.
Her music proved to be popular among the fans and the chikende beat in most of her songs was just what the fans wanted to keep them on the dance floor.
As is the norm, Sulumani’s “Sean Timba” also proved popular among the revellers.
Sulu delivered his best before heading to Victoria Falls for the Victoria Falls Carnival.
Tanga WekwaSando did not show any signs of rust after a long absence from the stage.
The show was the first of its kind in entertainment- starved area of Sanyati.
“Sanyati is my home area and the gig is my way of giving back to the community that raised me.
“This is not the first time that the community has been given a treat but this time we did it in a big way by bringing the musicians they only hear on radio right into in their backyard,” Geza said.
