Mbira princess Sasha aMadhuve will be launching her first album titled Mutsindo today.
Sasha a traditional singer, song writer, mbira player and performer has performed on many events across the country.
She has also shared stage with some of Zimbabwe and Africa’s finest singers and performers like Slizer from Botswana, Mafikizolo from South Africa, the late Dr Oliver mtukudzi, Alick Macheso, Sulumani Chimbetu, Jah Prayzah and many others.
“I have released 7 singles to date namely 2 timers, Madhuna mutuna, Nehanda, Nehanda unplugged, Nyarai and the hit song Machinda.
“So this is our first full album and is going to be launched on August 5 in Waterfalls at Madhadha Leisure centre at Zindoga shopping center along Simon Mazorodze road,” she said.
Sasha said, the album contains nine tracks.
“The challenges that l faced in recording and launching this album is lack of finances so it took me more than 3 years to finish this project due to financial challenges and Covid-19 had a negative impact on my music as a business.”
