adminUNHERALDED athlete Brian Saundombe earned his first major accolade in body-building after he won the Mr Novice senior men’s title on Saturday.
Saundombe, who hails from Bulawayo, upstaged a credible field of brawny athletes at the Club 1+1 Long Chen Plaza to take the title home.
He is aiming for more accolades in his career and has now set his sights on the Mr Zimbabwe International Trade Fair set for next month.
During the show which was only open to first timers, Saundombe came with a well-balanced body to impress the judges, although he still needs to add more muscle if he aims to make a huge impact.
By winning the Mr Novice, Saundombe takes the title over from Blessing Nyapimbi who won in 2014.
In second place was Edmore Yomani while Lenson Mhlanga took third place.
There was also excitement in the Ms Novice as Marlyn Mangoto won the category ahead of Sandra Ncube who was the only other entry.
