“I came back from South Africa and found him staying with another woman in our matrimonial home in Canaan, Highfield. She is using my property and my bedroom suite. I want to go back to my house,” she said.
Mphepo, answering to his wife’s application, told the court that he last heard about Mbale six years ago.
“I saw her for the first time in six years after I was summoned by the police. I don’t know what she was doing in the past six years and I now have a girlfriend. We are husband and wife by virtue of the marriage certificate. Today we are reunited but there is no more love,” he said.
Mphepo added that he wanted to know where she had been for the past six years. He also demanded that they go for HIV tests first.
Magistrate Milton Serima ordered Mphepo to accept Mbale back into the matrimonial home.
“Do not insult or assault her in any manner and do not chase her away,” he said.
