METHODIST Church in Zimbabwe (MCZ) run Waddilove High School this week commissioned a 212 kilowatt solar plant that is expected to improve power supplies at the institution.

The solar plant was officially commissioned by the Permanent Secretary for Primary and Secondary Education, Mr Moses Mhike.

Mr Mhike also commissioned a computer laboratory as well as an Early Childhood Development (ECD) block at Waddilove Primary School.

He commended the developments which are aimed at enhancing quality education for pupils.

“Today we celebrate the official commissioning of a modern computer laboratory at Waddilove Primary School and a solar power plant at Waddilove High School, both examples of commitment and vision by MCZ.

“These twin projects are not just investments in bricks and mortar, wires and screens. They are foundational stones laid in pursuit of an inclusive resilient and future-ready education system in Zimbabwe.

“The ministry commends the school administration and the dedicated teams of teachers and the entire Waddilove High School staff who have gone beyond the call of duty to make these schools centres of academic excellence.”
