The teams will compete in the Under-17 and Under-20 age-groups.
The tournament is set for November 23 to 28. Zimbabwe Handball Federation president, Amon Madzvamuse, said the teams were selected from Nash games.
“We have got teams that are going to Zambia. They are going as ZHF teams and we have given them part of the consignment we received from Switzerland. We need to put our handball on the map and ensure that everyone going out there is an ambassador,” said Madzvamuse.
Madzvamuse said the selected schools are going to engage players from other schools so that they come up with strong teams.
“We selected teams with the right age-groups comprising the winning schools during the Nash games.
“However, they are going to beef-up their teams by selecting players from other schools,” said Madzvamuse.
The ZHF president said they are also going to hold club championships before the end of the year, which will be their last event this season.
Madzvamuse said they were expecting more than 20 clubs to take part in the tournament.
Meanwhile, ZHF secretary-general, Alphios Magiya, has been suspended from the handball mother body.
